Iris Ravines
The capillaries and veins in this Leaf Tailed Gecko’s iris reminded me of twisting rivers and streams in a desert, dried up in the summer heat and reflecting the sun off their baked red clay beds.
Catch of the Day
Nosy Mangabe’s waters are a rich haven for estuarine and mangrove loving fish. Markets along the shoreline were brimming with baskets of crabs, fish and mussels.
Village Horizon
Farmland and simple houses make up this nondescript village, where people are happy enough living off the land and children are still amused by wooden toys.
Warm Sand
No pavements or tarmac exists in this place. Where no plants grow, sand fills up the crooked roads and village pathways.
Footprints in the Sand
Villagers, zebu cattle, mules, chickens, dogs and cats have all taken the same road to the village core. Friendly calls and good mornings stream across the humid air.

His preferred mode of transport to and from his village was a trusty bicycle. Chickens, baskets of fruit and vegetables, and bundles of clothes were piled up in a heap and peddled into the local market.
